Here’s Sandie Shaw who you can find by way of Morrissey if you’re not already well versed in pop chanteuses of 1960s Britain. Unfortunately, I happen to be not that familiar with either, but those are great dance steps.

Edit: Well I know I should have waited, because this one’s obviously much better. It’s in French and features 60s nurses(?) performing what seems to be an early version of the robot.

It also seems to be a recurring element in these videos to zoom in on her feet to show that she’s not wearing shoes. That’s interesting for the very fact that at some point she either asked the director to zoom in on her feet or they thought it was worth showcasing each time. I prefer the first scenario…

Shaw: Hey, can I have a word with you for a minute?
Director: Sure, I’m finished making sure all the dancing girls have little fuzzballs glued onto their hats, so I’d be glad to help. What is it?
Shaw: Well, have you noticed my feet?
Director: No, I hadn’t. You mean you’re not wearing shoes?
Shaw: Yep.
Director: Huh.
Shaw: Well, I don’t mean to draw attention to it, but it’s probably worth a close up in the video just so people know.
Director: And you think people will be interested in this fact?
Shaw: Well it is quite unusual and it shows how carefree I am.
Director: Well if we really wanted to do that, maybe you could move your elbows from the side of your body when you dance or–
Shaw: We’re not changing the dance.
